Quick Tips - Don't forget these easy installation steps

We’ve made it as easy as possible for anyone to install a Lulani faucet. Whether you’re a professional or a first-timer, we’ve worked hard to ensure that the installation process is a smooth one.

With every new project, there are always ways to make your experience much more fluid, though. During our research and development phase, we noticed a few things that should be considered during the installation process:

  1. Beware of over tightening! A lot of times people think that the tighter something’s secured, the better. This isn’t necessarily the case for everything, though. If certain connection areas are tightened too much, it can strip the threads which could cause water to leak through. It’s important that the connections are secure, but not tight enough where it becomes difficult to remove. We’ve added this note in our Owner’s Manuals as a friendly reminder to the installer.

In Real Life

  1. Low water flow? Is water not flowing as strongly as you’d like? You have missed the final step of installation: Flush for debris. Debris is any excess materials that may have built up in the water lines during manufacturing. The simplest way to fix this is to remove the aerator and run the water for at least one minute. This should help to clean the water lines out and fix prevent your aerator from getting clogged up.

  1. Why isn’t my faucet sitting correctly on the sink? You have installed the rubber o-ring beneath the sink. This is small and thin piece of hardware and can easily be mistaken and included with the below sink hardware. The o-ring is typically pre-installed and sits at the bottom of the handle or faucet base. It’s made to be removable, though, in case you need to replace it for whatever reason. The o-ring needs to be installed above the sink so it can secure the faucet to the installation hole. It’s shown in the image below as item number ② but is also listed in the “Parts Included” section at the beginning of our Owner’s Manuals.

If you follow our installation instructions and still have problems with your Lulani faucet, we have a Limited Lifetime Warranty that covers your product (with proper care and installation) for as long as you own your home, so you never have to worry about your product wearing over time.
